I took this shot yesterday as Joellen got some air at North Ave Beach. For those of you who follow this photoblog, you know how much I love this beach in Chicago. It is pretty crazy because during the summer there are thousands of people spread out enjoying the sand and the lake. However in the winter it is completely empty. The ice from the last few snow storms had gathered so much that there was a ledge that you could walk out on. It helped me get some better shots.
