It is currently 57 F outside on the 6th of January! It was just a few days ago that I was leaving the apartment to ride my bike in 5 F weather not to mention the wind chill! Last night I dressed up with anticipation for cold ride. The wind was present and as I braced for it I was pleasantly surprised to notice that it was not the ice cold wind that made your eyes tear up and freeze to your face, but rather a nice warm breeze. :-)

I could get used to it, but I know it isn't going to last in Chicago. Within a few days I am sure it will be back to the frozen tundra we have become used to in this area. In the meantime, I will enjoy a few nice bike rides and wet mud covering nearly every inch of cement.
